My love for beautiful tables started during childhood, thanks to my Grandmother E.R. Whenever she visited from Lexington, Kentucky, she brought a wicker basket filled with her finest china, silver, crystal, and delicate lace placemat—setting a stunning place for herself while the rest of us used simple white dishes and character glasses (mine had the Smurfs on it!). She made every meal feel special, and that early exposure to elegance sparked a lifelong passion for tablescaping.

Creativity runs deep in my family. Growing up in the mountains of North Georgia (my daughter is the 5th generation to run around Bradley Acres), I was surrounded by artistry and ingenuity. My dad was a custom knife maker and metals teacher, crafting intricate scrimshaw and metal sculptures, while my stepmom, a landscape designer, cultivated the most beautiful garden in our small town. They encouraged my creative spirit, whether I was putting on plays, art shows, or using our yard as my personal flower shop. On my maternal side, my Nanny, was always creating–painting, crafting, or making handmade Christmas decorations–instilling in me a love for thoughtful, artistic details. Surrounded by artistry and ingenuity, I developed an appreciation for making things special, a passion that now finds its home in my love for color, pattern and design.

When I had a home of my own, I carried that love forward, always setting a nice table for guests. Then, a chance encounter at an estate sale led me to discover an online tablesetting group, and suddenly I found my people! Their encouragement inspired me to share my tablescapes more widely through Instagram and Bradley Acres Design, where I celebrate my love for patterns, color (especially blue!!!), and mixing classic pieces in fresh way!
